Welcome to Bleg! There is nothing very interesting on here and I imagine that there never will be. It still has some old posts I made for a class, feel free to snoop around and read them if you want. If I recall correctly, this blog was made for an english class that I took in one of the first semesters I was at NCC. Part of the class was to create a simple blog and update it like four times throughout the semester, as well as commenting on other classmates blogs. Rather amusing that I am doing pretty much the exact same thing years later. The blogs contents are probably really terrible but I doubt that they are very much different from something I would write today. Well, I’m off to comment on another blog and never return here for six more years at least.
There are so incredibly many simple errors in my old posts, it's rather ridiculous.

Field Journal and diary thing

So, it's kind of dark, I don't know if it's really 8:00 PM I just sorta guessed. not much is going on, I can't see the stars because of the streetlights. Got some cars on the street on the far side of the neighbors yard got some bugs off chirping somewhere. don't really care… i'm looking for the cats that live under our other neighbors little deck thing, not seeing them so far though. the grounds kinds mushy, except for the part with the half buried path, that's made of fractured cement. la de da. oh look a tree, how amazing! this is the entire point of cameras. I can't write fast enough to record even the relatively small amount of things I am seeing. I don't even consider this nature. It's just like one hundred square feet of land with about a third grass a third dirt and a third concrete. I mean i'm like 40 feet away from a parking lot, well that's enough of that, i'm heading back inside.

OK, so I’m sitting out in my back yard doing nothing… yeah! I’m so happy... there's some birds somewhere tweeting about building a wall. Bum bum tish! HAH! get it?! yep, i'm changing my major to professional funny man. So there's a really lovely Breeze blowing here, it feels absolutely wonderful! oh good, bees. I really hate bees, not just because they sting and it hurts but because I react to their venom. well, to be honest i don't know if I react to bee stings but I most certainly react to wasp and hornet stings. so I feel I have a pretty good reason to dislike little buzzing insects. Wow, the wind is nuts… I’m not good at guessing wind speed and stuff but I would wager it's blowing at about 25 mph, maybe more. its funny, there was more traffic the last time I did this. of course the parking lot is much more full at the moment. there's a couple of people walking on the sidewalk near the front of the house and a lady crossing the street to get to school down the way. freaking bees everywhere! just go away, I hate your stupid buzzing noises I hate your stingers, I hate you! don't make me get the shotgun! well… I don't have a shotgun… but I could probably make a blunderbuss, it's just a tube, the igniting mechanism is the hard part. Meh, i'm too lazy to bother. I would probably just go get some raid… Maybe a raid filled shotgun… ok i'm done, just gotta do the other thing now.
Diary like thing
Dear Diary, I love chad. Wait no that's wrong, um… I don't know what on earth i'm supposed to write here so i'm just gonna write stuff. The simple fact is, I hate nature. like a lot. nature is hot, wet, buggy, smelly, messy, gooey, icky, crawly, blea!!! this perspective is rather amusing considering though i lived on a small farm most of my younger life. I however would like to make the distinction that i “lived” on a small farm, not “enjoyed living” on a small farm. As i mentioned in one of the “field journals” I am allergic to to the venom of wasps and bees or whatever. and no it is not an allergy like i get a stuffy nose or something, it's an allergy like unless I get to a hospital in about one hour (or two if i use an epipen) my airways will close up and i will die. so yea, its a pretty good reason i guess. unless you like dieing i suppose, or maybe want to commit really slow painful suicide… seriously people there are better ways… just wait like 60 years, it's not that long to wait.
Regardless, I doubt anyone will bother to read this far so I could just write just dumb stuff, but that's all I write anyhow so I doubt it would really make any difference in terms of content. So as much as I dislike “nature”, “nature” (for obvious reasons) is extremely important to everyone and everything. without plants, moss, trees, fungi and all that stuff, animals (that includes us) could not exist. of course if we as humans “prefect” genetic engineering and perhaps cybernetic engineering. then maybe I wouldn't have to worry about bees because they no longer have stingers due to genetic modification. unfortunately for the time beeing that doesn't seem like an option.

2 toreing cnter
Two toring cntr
I went to English tutoring on on the tenth. The appointment was short, only a half hour long but I received some lovely feedback on the paper I was working on. The tutors name was Cherise Fung, she read my paper and informed me of some mistakes I had made. She then made some suggestions on how to complete the paper, as I had the final paragraph and conclusion left to complete. Other than that, it was rather uneventful. The appointment was very easy to arrange, after selecting the subject and time you press submit and that's it. They send an email with time and date in case you forget. I realize this is very short but i'm already stretching this for words.

blog post 2: education By: Sam Geer
Brain in a Jar
My education has been extraordinarily messy. The simple fact is that out of the 12 grades I have passed through only about 50% of the time I was actually enrolled in a school. The rest of the time was spent homeschooling, messing around with and on computers or doing absolutely nothing. To anyone who knows me, this will probably explain some things. Like the fact I am Completely incompetent in nearly any social situations. Fortunately, I have zero “friends”, unless you count family, then I have one friend, my mom. Sounds like fun right? I should also mention that the time that I was in school was largely spent in the principal's office. Not because I was violent or something, it was mostly caused by the other kids thinking it was funny to frame me for stupid crap. Calling name, not vulgarities mind you, I would call people stupid, jerk, moron, idiot, but because I was an outsider they would “tell on me” the teacher would send me to the office, the principal would tell me not to call names and the cycle would repeat. That was basically my entire schooling experience, the teacher would look away, kids would be mean, the teacher would turn back around, I would call them stupid, “but they said…”, “don't care”, office, next day, teacher would look away… That is how I learned that “Justice” is just a matter of perspective.

Blog post 3-Home
I’ve lived in many different
homes during my life. We are not Gypsies or vagabonds. We’ve just simply had
reasons to move. When I was born we lived in a small town in southern Minnesota.
When I was three and a half we moved into an apartment in Wisconsin so my
mother could take care of my grandparents who where both ill. The week my
grandmother died our Minnesota house sold, so we bought a house in Wisconsin
near our grandparents. Four years later we moved to northern Minnesota after my
parents divorced. We rented a house for only four months until we found one in
the community we where looking to live in. The place we rented had 20 acres so
my mother started a hobby farm. We lived there four years then moved to a different
farm a few miles away for two more years.
When my mom decided to change
careers our next move was to a parsonage. We were there for only one year
untell her next assignment took us farther north. This was a spectacular older
house that had been redone (picture 1). After one year there my mom decided
return to college to get her M DIV and we made the move to Pennsylvania. We
moved into a duplex on the edge of campus. Shortly after we moved next door
into a single house with more amenities. Both of these are graduate student
housing so it was an easy switch.

the way)

blog post 1: interview. -Meet Melvin-
Meet Melvin
By Sam Geer
By Sam Geer
During my brief talk with Melvin I learned quite a few interesting things about my classmate. Having moved to Pennsylvania recently myself I was surprised to learn that Melvin moved here a mere four months ago. Melvin was born in Florida 24 year ago. He has one older brother and two younger sisters.
Melvin is a fan of warm climates but does not shy away from the “cold weather” of Pennsylvania. Being from Minnesota I find this description of “cold weather” amusing. An avid traveler, Melvin enjoys taking hikes in new and interesting places. The hills of Pennsylvania are a favorite of his. During these hikes Melvin loves to watch wildlife, especially the deer. He also mentioned that when he was younger, coloring was a hobby of his. Melvin hopes that someday he will get the chance to travel to Europe and see Spain, Greece and Italy. I imagine he would love to travel to many other places as well, but these were just the ones he mentioned.
Melvin lives on his own and the time not spent exploring is spent either in school or at his job at Wal-mart. Melvin is going to school for a degree in business and hopes to become the greatest HR person of all time! On a side note Melvin is a fan of android devices and is adverse to apple products.
Though I don't consider myself to truly know Melvin, I do wish him the best, and sincerely hope he accomplishes his goal to be the greatest at his career.
